Ethos wins “Blog of the Month Award”. “They like me, they really like me.”
I just received an e-mail from a friend in Denver who heard Hugh Hewitt mention the Ethos blogomatrix on his radio show in the mile high city today. Wow! I am honored and humbled.
The important comments below are from Hugh’s most recent post.
“The acceleration of the connections between believers on the Internet is a powerful and culture transforming movement. The coverage of faith, and of its connections to culture and politics, has long been ignored by MSM (Mainstream Media), or distorted. Howard Dean's rant against "right-wing" pastors on Friday night is only the most recent such example of a cliche substituting for the reality of the church.
In a related note…read about HBO’s Real Time host Bill Maher’s take on religion and Christianity as stated on MSNBC’s “Scarborough Country”
The sudden arrival of an open access platform changes the playing field completely. The church, in all its vast diversity, if completely free to communicate with the culture. And it is doing so with astonishing speed and, I think, surprisingly robust influence.” – HughHewitt.com
A final note, It is interesting how quite the MSM is about Chris Rock and his treatment of black stereotypes last night. See what you can drudge up on Google. Almost nil. It would be great to see a follow up article from Washington Posts' Donna Britt about Rocks' comments that seemed to mock his race as much or more than the Oscars.
