Watercooler Wednesday-My Academy Award Picks ...

Wcwlogo_3 Welcome to the very first Ethos Watercooler Wednesday.

For some time I have subtitled my blog A Cultural Watercooler. So it has come time to ask you and your friends to gather 'round the watercooler and chat about culture and/or creative tips. This is a win-win conversation, since we all know that in the blogosphere links are power. This watercooler chat enables each of us to chat about the subject of our choice and get links at the same time. We all benefit...and as I say often, rising tides lifts all ships.

HERE are the guidelines. If this is your first time 'round the watercooler, PLEASE take time to read them.

For several years, I have been predicting winners for the Academy Awards and if I do say so myself, with pretty good success. So here goes my first Watercooler cultural conversation...

Best Picture:
Will Win: No Country For Old Men
Should Win: Juno

Best Actor:
Daniel Day-Lewis (There Will Be Blood)

Best Actress:
Julie Christie (Away From Her)

Director:
Will win: Ethan and Joel Coen (No Country For Old Men)
Should Win: Julian Schnabel (The Diving Bell and the Butterfly)

Join me around the watercooler today and each Wednesday...
