Get Smart - An Ethos Two Thumbs Way Up
This movie provides an enjoyable romp through the past-and the future. I remember watching the television show at my grandmothers house EVERY week wondering how Kaos would try to foil the clumsy but loveable Maxwell Smart.
Steve Carell, Anne Hathaway, Dwayne Johnson and Alan Arkin provide very capable acting in the reincarnation of a revered and funny series. Get Smart is a genuinely funny movie. I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard.
The only disappointment was waiting through the closing credits to see the bloopers. There were none.
A great movie. Full of fun, nostalgia, true to the original, yet improving in the right ways. Steve Carell was perfect and I loved Anne Hathaway as a totally new "99". Alan Arkin also plays the chief perfectly.
Go see it. You will be glad you did.
