Come Join Me Tomorrow & Drink A Tequila Shot To Benefit Autism at Sol On Main in Franklin, TN

Come join me at one of my all-time favorite restaurants Sol on Main where they hope to have more than 1,300 people slam a shot of tequila during the Mexican restaurant's Cinco de Mayo outdoor festival May 5. This would set a new world record.

My friend and Sol On Main manager Eric Finch says, "We are big fans of good tequila and decided hey, this could be fun."

If all goes according to plan, we will earn the "Largest Shot Slam" Guinness world record, overthrowing a June 9, 2007, event in which 1,300 people drank shots of corn schnapps in Nordhausen, Germany.

Festivities start at 3pm and Tequila Shots for the Guinness Book of Records will be served 15 minutes before the 8 p.m."Largest Shot Slam" attempt. Crowds will down their shots inside Sol as well as nearby downtown restaurant Red Pony, off Fourth Avenue, and in a parking lot behind the restaurant's building.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit nonprofit Visions Autism Center in Brentwood, Finch said.
